A fantastic experience exploring Jaipur alone

I feel truly blessed and grateful that my Family always supports me whenever I wish to go on a solo trip. My solo journey to Jaipur was unforgettable, and exploring the city independently was an incredible experience.

This solo trip came with its own surprises. The moment I arrived in Jaipur, heavy rain caused a massive traffic jam, a dramatic and unforgettable welcome from the city.

I was stuck in traffic for almost 3 hours before finally reaching my girls’ hostel. After calming down and relaxing, I realized these are the kinds of experiences worth writing about and learning from. I informed my family that I had reached safely and went to sleep, because Jaipur was waiting for me to explore its beauty all on my own.

I woke up to the sound of rain and the most beautiful weather

The morning welcomed me with rain and perfect, refreshing weather. With light rain outside and a warm cup of tea in my hand, my morning began beautifully. I dressed up and left my hostel to explore Jaipur.

My exploration started from the beautiful City Palace of Jaipur

I hired a guide at the City Palace to gain a deeper understanding of its history. As we began exploring, every detail he shared left me amazed. The stories of the kings, their royal lifestyle, and how this palace became so iconic truly surprised me.

As my guide explained the palace’s history, I learned some wonderful facts, especially about the part where the royal family still resides and the flags placed on top. Visitors aren’t allowed in that area, but you can still see those flags from afar. The palace was breathtaking. Cameras weren’t permitted everywhere so I couldn’t click many pictures, but the City Palace is truly worth the experience.

After exploring the City Palace, I stepped outside and saw Jantar Mantar right in front of the gate. I went there too, because I wanted to explore every corner of Jaipur.

Exploring Amer Fort turned out to be an unforgettable experience

Out of everything, Amer Fort stood out as the highlight of the day. As I neared Amer Fort, every glimpse of it gave me such amazing vibes. A fort carries so much history and strength, and standing close to one makes you realize the world is far more beautiful than you think.

I hired a guide at every place in Jaipur because without them, it’s impossible to truly understand the history and the incredible facts behind these iconic spots.

Amer Fort is massive, and I honestly got tired walking through its huge walls, but its history is truly mesmerizing. Every corner of the fort is worth exploring. Learning how the fort actually was in its time and discovering each part of it is the best thing one can experience while traveling.

From Amer Fort, the view of Jaigarh Fort looks stunning. My guide shared an interesting fact that there’s a secret passage connecting both forts, which the kings used during wars and other crucial times. The architecture left me completely surprised.

I left Amer Fort with so many unforgettable experiences. On my way to Hawa Mahal, I stopped for a while to admire Jal Mahal, and its beauty truly left me speechless. It was drizzling, and with the gloomy clouds above, Jal Mahal looked even more magical.

From recognizing Jaipur through pictures of Hawa Mahal in books to finally seeing it in real life

Hawa Mahal used to be the picture that represented Jaipur in our books, and seeing it in real life filled me with a sense of nostalgia. It looks absolutely adorable from the front, and when I entered to explore it, I found it simply beautiful. Its history and architecture make it truly special. Standing in the middle of Jaipur’s busy market, Hawa Mahal still steals the spotlight. I even visited a café right in front of it and sat on the rooftop from there; both Hawa Mahal and Amer Fort looked breathtaking, perfectly justifying their beauty.

I wrapped up my day after visiting so many amazing spots and doing a bit of shopping. Then I made my way back to my girls’ hostel to rest and gear up for the adventures waiting for me the next day.

My journey continued as I explored Albert Hall, Birla Mandir, Nahargarh Fort, Jaigarh Fort, and the sacred Shri Govind Devji Temple

My day began with a visit to Birla Mandir, and its beauty, serenity, and the idol of Vishnu ji left me completely mesmerized. The peaceful atmosphere inside and the stunning view from the temple are something you can’t describe in words. Its architecture is truly worth appreciating.

From Birla Mandir, I moved on to Albert Hall Museum, where the ancient equipment displays left me amazed. I loved exploring the place, though I’ll admit, some of the artifacts did give me a little scary feeling.

Then I made my way to Nahargarh Fort, and its beauty truly amazed me. The views I saw and captured were unforgettable. The city looked picture-perfect from the fort’s rooftop, and I spent nearly an hour there, just admiring Jaipur quietly.

Leaving the rooftop view behind, I made my way to Jaigarh Fort. The ancient cannon standing there stole all my attention. Known as the king’s weapon storehouse, this fort holds incredible history. And as I said before, a hidden tunnel secretly connects Jaigarh Fort to Amer Fort.

After a long day of exploring, I went to Shri Govind Devji Temple. I attended the calming aarti, took blessings, and spent an hour sitting quietly, letting myself heal. The soothing shehnai music outside the temple made the moment even more beautiful. I ended my visit with some tasty street food.
